What types of scrap does Złomrex Group purchase?
Ferrous: HMS 1/2, shredded (211/210), plate & structural, busheling, turnings, and rail. Non-ferrous: #1 copper (millberry), birch/cliff, UBC, 6063 extrusion, yellow/red brass, and zorba concentrates. High-alloy: 304/316 stainless, tool steel, and nickel alloys. Acceptance depends on grade, contamination, and the receiving yard — contact the trade desk before loading.
Where can I deliver or request collection?
We operate processing yards and collection points across Germany, the United States, and Poland. Frankfurt HQ coordinates logistics; zonal offices in Hollywood, Florida and Poraj handle regional enquiries. Call or use the contact form with your postcode and material type — we will direct you to the nearest weighbridge or arrange container delivery.
How are scrap prices determined?
Purchase rates track LME and regional ferrous indices, adjusted for grade, weight, contamination, and haul distance. A weighbridge ticket and visual grade assessment form the basis of payment. Quotes are typically returned within one business day; spot loads may be priced on delivery at the yard.
Do you supply processed scrap to external steel mills?
Yes. Złomrex is the primary raw materials supplier to Cognor Group melt shops and also delivers HMS, shredded, and non-ferrous charge to independent EAF operators and foundries in Europe and North America under contract or spot arrangements.
What documentation is required when selling scrap?
Commercial sellers need proof of ownership, company registration, and a material description (grade, estimated weight). Where local waste regulations apply — e.g. German Abfallverzeichnis or US transfer manifests — our yard staff will issue or request the appropriate paperwork at weigh-in.
How quickly can I get a response to a quote or pickup request?
